Joe Bernero
May 3, 1952 to August 12, 1019 (aged 67)
Joe came to our class for his senior year at BGHS. After graduating he worked at various jobs in Las Vegas until he found a home for 30 years at the Las Vegas Hilton. He worked in various positions spending most of his career in the casino vault.
Joe had three loves, his wife Cheryl, golfing and hunting. Although Joe had multiple sclerosis and kidney disease Cheryl wants his everyone to know that he was a wonderful husband and never once complained about his health. As a matter of fact, she would have to pry it out of him when he was having a bad day.
Cheryl sent us this picture that was taken a few weeks before Joe passed away. She said it summed up his personality and how he wasn't going to let his illness get in the way of having a little fun and looking at the bright side of life.
