Reunion Venue Information

Thursday Night October 14, 2021

It's Icebreaker Night! Let's get the party started! Atomic Liquors has come a long way since its birth in 1952 (sound familiar). It's the oldest freestanding bar in Las Vegas and has recently expanded to include a craft brewery and a kitchen. Located at:

917 Fremont Street
Las Vegas, NV, 89101
702-982-3000

the "Atomic" is our first stop on our reunion weekend. Keeping in mind that most classmates say the first night is the best event of the reunion, we are going to make sure it lives up to its reputation. As an added attraction to our 50th reunion we will have a Zoom call set up with a large flat screen tv so that classmates who couldn't join in person will be able to visit with attendees.

Homecoming, The BIG Game, The BIG Dance! Just think, in two years the new Gorman campus will be as old (16 years) as the original campus was when we went there! (I hope they did a better job on the plumbing this time). There will be lots of things to do on campus starting off with a memorial mass, tours of the campus, the homecoming pep assembly, tailgating and of course, THE BIG GAME!  The campus is located at:

5959 S. Hualapai Way
Las Vegas, NV 89148
Phone: 702-732-1945

Saturday Night October 16, 2021

Finally, we will be celebrating our 5oth reunion! We will be gathering in the Mob Museums "Court Room" where we'll  get a chance visit with classmates and rekindle old friendships. And we'll be able to see firsthand how all those schoolteachers who founded Las Vegas made it what it is today.

In 2002, the feds sold the building to the City of Las Vegas for $1, with the stipulation that it be preserved and used as a cultural center. Preferably, a museum. Then-Mayor Oscar Goodman, who had represented mobsters as a defense attorney, proposed a museum that would explore the complicated history of the Mob, and its mostly hidden role in society. The Mob Museum opened on February 14, 2012, and has played an important role in the revival of downtown Las Vegas.

300 Stewart Avenue
Las Vegas, NV 89101
702.229.2734

NOTE: All attendees are eligible for FREE ADMISSION to the museum all day Saturday! Simply let the clerk at the ticket window know that you are with the BGHS Class of 1970 reunion and they will give you a wrist band good for the whole day.
